Travel Itinerary

First Day - Exploring the Beauty of Arusha and Lake Manyara National Park

Your day will kick off with a morning pick-up from your hotel post-breakfast. Accompanied by your guide, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park nestled in the East African Rift Valley region. The journey typically spans around 3 hours. As you enter the park, you'll be greeted by the impressive Lake Manyara, home to a diverse array of water birds. Noteworthy among these are the striking pink flamingos, alongside a plethora of other avian species like cormorants, pelicans, and storks. The park boasts a rich avifauna, with approximately 400 bird species inhabiting the area. Keep an eye out for the renowned tree-climbing lions that are often spotted in the central open plains of the park. While on safari, you're likely to encounter elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of other wildlife species. As the day transitions into evening, you'll exit the national park and settle in for the night at a campsite near the charming village of Mto wa Mbu.

The Second Day - Exploring Arusha: Tarangire National Park and the Enchanting Lake Manyara Region

Following an early morning meal, we set off towards Tarangire National Park, an expansive and picturesque sanctuary that was founded in 1970 on what used to be a hunting area during the colonial era. Encompassing a space akin to the size of Luxembourg, Tarangire is famed for its abundant and varied wildlife. It boasts one of the biggest elephant populations in northern Tanzania, along with a diverse array of other creatures. If you're fortunate, you might catch sight of lions, cheetahs, or even the shy leopards. The park's terrain is equally striking, showcasing vast savannahs, seasonal marshes, and majestic baobab trees, particularly impressive in the northeastern section where they grow in dense clusters. After a full day of observing wildlife and exploring, we return to Arusha in the early evening, carrying cherished memories and breathtaking photographs of Tanzania's remarkable wildlife.
